OEM Relationships

We are justly proud of the reputation and relationships we have built with the OEM sector. Sentinel products are
widely endorsed by central heating product and equipment manufacturers throughout the UK. These relationships
often extend well beyond ‘best practice’ water treatment for warranty validation with many manufacturers carrying
out their own independent tests to verify the effectiveness of Sentinel cleaners and inhibitors. We also provide genuine
technical support and training on all water treatment related matters and we are often involved in joint activity.

For example, one of our OEM partners recently sold a large number of boilers to a house builder. The installations were
in four bedroom detached houses and were carried out by a variety of contractors. After repeated failures of a normally
reliable boiler on a number of sites, Sentinel were called in to give technical advice and opinion. After inspection, our
conclusion was that the failure problems were a direct result of poor initial treatment and a failure to halt ongoing
corrosion in the systems. However, by just replacing defective components without regard to correcting the water
treatment conditions, the boiler manufacturer was simply increasing it’s own costs and not resolving the issue for the
householder. Sentinel surveyed all sites then drew up a test and monitoring procedure to run on selected installations
over a period of time. Working with the manufacturer, the house builder and their installers, a few refinements to the
procedure were carried out prior to a programme of full implementation. The result will save all involved time and
money and ultimately lead to householder satisfaction.
